Deciding what to wear to the office in summertime is never easy. You want to keep cool but look smart. You may also be hitting the town after work, so you need something which ticks all the boxes.

Office fashion faux pas vary, depending on which industry you work in (law firm or ad agency) and where you work – in the city or by the beach. But, unless your office has a strict dress code, the rules are often unspoken, which means it’s time to get creative.

Flip Flops or Sandals are my go to in the office during summer (I’ve got at least 10 pairs, and counting). With the right outfit, jewelry and makeup, flip flops and sandals can be made to look really professional.

I always keep a pair of smarter shoes under my desk, though, just in case (normally for if it rains during the day)! If the big boss is in I am sure to walk around slowly so as not to alert

Summer in the UK is never long (or hot) enough for some of us, and we dream of catching the last of the sun before it’s back to rain and overcast skies. These last two months I’ve mostly been skiing – France, Austria, Italy and Germany – it’s been an incredible adventure and I’ve seen some beautiful vistas up there on the slopes. I’m kind of obsessed with mountains right now. You’d think I was a pro the amount of ski trips I’ve had, but sadly no, sometimes you just have to do things for the sheer pleasure rather than the fact you have any sort of skill.

Those ski boots have been an uncomfortable change from the usual flip flopping about. I’ve learned from experience that you really need to make sure your boots fit in the shop before you head out on the slopes. As in really stamp around and wear them in the shop for a bit. There was one day when my feet were so squashed into the boots up on the slope that I could barely ski down to change them. Not cool.
